How do pair set up your Apple Watch?

Got a new Apple Watch? Here’s how to pair your watch with your iPhone and set it up. Before you start, ensure your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS, connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network, and has Bluetooth turned on. Also, keep your iPhone and Apple Watch close to each other during the entire setup process.

Ready?

  • Step 1: To get started, put on your Apple Watch and press and hold
    the side button to turn it on

 

  • Step 2: Then hold your iPhone next to your Apple Watch. When a message appears on your iPhone, tap Continue.

 

  • Step 3: If this is your Apple Watch, tap Set Up for Myself. Or tap Set Up for a Family Member.

 

  • Step 4: Then follow the steps to set up the watch for someone else in your family.

 

  • Step 5: Using the Camera on your iPhone, position the Apple Watch inside the onscreen frame. If you can’t use the Camera, tap Pair Apple Watch Manually on your iPhone and follow the steps.

 

  • Step 6: Wait for a message that says your Apple Watch is paired.

 

  • Step 7: Now tap Set Up as New Apple Watch. If you have a backup of your previous Apple Watch, you can tap Restore from Backup and follow the steps.
